Steel-City Stonewall Democrats Annual Endorsement Gathering

On Sunday, March 28th Steel-City Stonewall Democrats (SCSD) will convene its membership to vote on which candidates will receive the organization’s endorsement for the May 18th, 2010 Primary Election.  The meeting will take place on Sunday, March 28 from 2:30 until 5:00 at Hyde Park restaurant on the North Shore of Pittsburgh.

Steel-City Stonewall Democrats Summer and Fall Endeavors

Steel-City Stonewall Democrats has been a key part of the advances on GLBT issues happening locally and nationally.  The board and members are working hard to elect pro-LGBT leaders and to move legislation forward. While we celebrate the passage of the Allegheny County Non-Discrimination Ordinance, of which SCSD played a key role, we know there is much work to be done.

Allegheny County Passes Inclusive Anti-Discrimination Bill

The Allegheny County Council voted Wednesday evening, July 1st 2009, to approve the Allegheny County Human Relations Ordinance, legislation that will ban discrimination in housing, employment and public accommodations on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity or expression with limited exceptions.
