Ohio Anti-LGBT ad

Queerty has this blog post up about the GOP's homophobic anti-adoption scare tactics in Ohio, but I wanted to make a point about the broader narrative regarding anti-adoption measures.

Across the country, people really care about kids.  They want to do what's in the best interest of children.  And, it turns out, disqualifying amazing foster parents or adoptive parents just because they happen to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender isn't in the best interest of children.

Can you imagine leaving your child to a sibling or other relative and then have the state tell you the child can't live with the family member of your choosing because you chose a relative who was lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender?

Yeah.  People know when enough is enough.

It's good to see people calling out these scare tactics and beating back anti-adoption measures.  Don't let the GOP get away with these tactics in Ohio.  Go help defeat the measure in Arkansas.
