I'm in Ohio and loving it

Just a quick update:

I'm in Ohio (with the occasional day trip to Pennsylvania, I'm thinking) for the duration of the campaign cycle.  There are so many important states and races and it was hard to pick just one.  But I'm here, and I'll try to update at least once a day.

With the GOP here running extremely homophobic ads, we felt it would take the LGBT partisans to fight back.

That's the strength of Stonewall Democrats across the country--a grasroots network of LGBT partisans across the country.  Answering the partisan homophobic attacks on our families requires a partisan pro-equality response.

I stopped by headquarters and the place is buzzing with excitement.  Volunteers were making phone calls, getting ready to canvass, and working on more volunteer requirement.  They have a goal of 3,000 LGBT GOTV shifts.  Do you have time to help elect the most pro-equality Presidential nominee ever?

Other than that, I'm excited about meeting with the Stonewall leaders, our good friends at the state equality organization, Equality Ohio, and other local politicos.  

Just one more story before I get back to work:

I'm getting off the plane in the Columbus airport (great airport, by the way), and I run into not just one, but two other people here to help the Party.  Maybe our Obama buttons gave it away, but they were so friendly and excited about being here.  I'm sure I'll get to run into them while we're here, but if not, I think it's a great sign.
